Candy AI, checked against its own pages
Most write-ups of Candy.ai quote prices nobody can find and features nobody can point at. This guide does the opposite: every number here was read off a page you can open yourself, and every block says where it came from. Where we could not confirm something, we say so instead of filling the gap.

Candy.ai is an adult AI companion platform that runs in a web browser โ there is no native iOS or Android app. You talk to AI characters by text, and you can also generate images and short videos of them, or call them. Text chat is unlimited on a paid plan; everything visual or spoken is metered by a token balance that sits on top of the subscription. Prices are published before signup and start at โฌ13.99 a month, falling to โฌ3.99 a month if you pay a year in advance.
A browser platform with three character catalogues
Candy.ai organises its characters into three top-level categories, shown in its own navigation: Girls, Anime and Guys. Each character has a profile page listing a fixed set of attributes โ Age, Body, Ethnicity, Language, Relationship, Occupation, Hobbies and Personality โ before you start a conversation.
The catalogue is genuinely large but lopsided. Counting the character pages in the platform's own English sitemap, the roster is heavily weighted toward the Girls category, with a substantial Anime section and a small Guys section.
Girls
Around 150 individual character pages, published under the platform's own girlfriend section. Named examples include Rachel Greer, Sofia Fletcher, Brooklyn Ashford, Taylor Reynolds and Emilia Vermont.

Around 70 character pages in the illustrated style, with names such as Isolde Voss, Lira, Trixie, Lilith Inferna and Puddin.

Two layers: a subscription, and tokens on top of it
This is the part that catches people out, and it is the single most useful thing to understand before paying. A Candy.ai subscription does not buy you everything. It buys unlimited text chat plus a monthly allowance of tokens. Tokens are what actually pay for the visual and spoken features.
What the subscription includes
The advertised Premium benefits are: create your own AI girlfriend, generate 18+ images and videos, the full Live Action experience, unlimited text messages, and 100 tokens per month.

Image generation, creating a custom AI character, listening to a voice message, voice calls, unlocking private content packs, and video generation. Ordinary text chatting consumes no tokens at all.

Subscribers who use up the monthly 100 tokens have to buy more to keep generating images, videos and voice. The platform has a dedicated help article explaining why an active subscriber is still asked to pay for tokens.

The token shop sits behind a login, so there is no public price list we could read. The only first-party figure we found values 200 tokens at about 20 US dollars, in a help article about referrals โ that is a valuation, not a published price.

Features, with the caveats attached
Candy.ai ships more than text chat, but several of the headline features carry conditions that marketing pages leave out. Here is each one with the limitation the platform itself documents.
| Feature | What it is | The condition attached |
|---|---|---|
| Text chat | Conversation with a character that keeps memory of the current chat | Unlimited on a paid plan; consumes no tokens |
| Image generation | Pictures of the character you are talking to | Paid for in tokens, not included beyond the monthly allowance |
| Scene Video | A short clip built from the moment in the conversation | Offered as a five-second video of that exact moment |
| Video generally | Animated clips of a character | Not generated from scratch โ an image is produced first, then animated |
| Phone calls | Speaking to a character out loud | Explicitly in beta, priced at 3 tokens per minute |
| Live Action | Interactive erotic video experience | Premium only, token-gated, mobile only, and only on selected characters |
| Chat Streaks | Daily engagement rewards over seven days | Premium only, tied to specific characters, rewards at days 2, 4 and 7 |
| Clone Chat | Copies a conversation with its history so you can branch it | Available as a separate chat; the original is untouched |
You can build a character โ within narrower limits than advertised
Creating your own AI character is one of the headline reasons to subscribe, and it works. But the creation wizard we opened is narrower than the homepage copy suggests, in two specific ways worth knowing before you pay for it.
Two gender options, not three
The first step of the creation wizard offers only Girls and Trans. There is no option to create a male character, even though the browse catalogue has a Guys section. In the Trans panel the anime art style is disabled and labelled as coming soon.
candy.ai character creation page, read 1 August 2026Three ethnicities in the builder, five in the marketing
The homepage lists five ethnicities. The platform's own help centre says the updated builder currently supports three โ Caucasian, Asian and Latina โ and that Arab and Black characters are still in development with no estimated date. That is Candy.ai documenting the gap itself.
Candy.ai help centre article on the updated character builderTwo smaller details from the same source: newly created characters use the second-generation flow and cannot be converted back, and characters made under the older flow can no longer be created. The creation form defaults a new character's age to 18.
A named, registered operator in Malta
Candy.ai is owned and operated by EverAI Limited, a company incorporated in Malta under registration number C107181, at 56 Central Business Centre, Triq Is-Soll, Santa Venera SVR 1833. The company name and number appear in the platform's own terms of service and in its site footer, and the terms carry a revision date of 30 July 2026.
Two practical consequences follow from that. Charges appear on a card statement as EverAI rather than anything containing the word Candy. And because the operator is an EU company, EU and UK customers get a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal on an initial purchase that sits alongside the platform's own, much tighter, refund rule.
Compared with the platforms it is usually put against
| Platform | Prices before signup | Extra currency on top | Native mobile app |
|---|---|---|---|
| Candy.ai | Yes, published | Yes โ tokens | No, browser and PWA |
| OurDream AI | Yes, published | Yes โ dreamcoins | No, browser |
| Swipey AI | No, shown after signup | Yes โ hearts | No, browser |
The pattern across the category is the same two-layer model: a subscription that buys conversation, and a metered currency that buys pictures and voice. Candy.ai is one of the platforms that at least publishes the subscription half up front.
